So originally, my friend and I were going to go to the mall and glue a dollar on to the floor, that way we could laugh maniacally at the various fools who would become entranced by free money. But we noticed there was some event going on, and became extremely curious, of course!
Turns out there was some meet and greet for the Juno awards taking place at the mall, with a bunch of popular Canadian artists. (Big deal, right? Pfft!)
Until one of the names said ‘Swollen Members’. I know that most of Tumblr is probably thinking, ‘The fuck are these guys?’ Well, they’re only my whole entire childhood! I was in heaven. I had a very uncomfortable spot standing beside a gigantic amp (and yes, I can no longer hear) but it was the best day of my life.
I love Prevail and Mad Child. Those guys made me feel like a badass from when I was just a little lass.
There was also deadmau5, Down With Webster, and Simple Plan; to name a few.
